Our first post!

Thank you for visiting www.sourcetosink.com!  We are just getting started, so please bear with us and check back often.

From the Source to the Sink is a collaborative educational and fundraising project inspired by the French Broad River, which flows for about 225 miles from Rosman, NC to Knoxville, TN.  The idea for this project was conceived by two kayakers who have boated together for years on various sections of the French Broad from its classic whitewater headwaters in NC to its meandering flatwater in TN.

In a nutshell, we are embarking on an educational and fundraising journey over the next five months that will culminate in a two week kayaking trip from Rosman to Knoxville, covering the entire length of the French Broad River.  All proceeds of this project will go to the Tennessee Clean Water Network and RiverLink.  Be sure to check out their websites, which are linked here on our blog.  Both are excellent organizations that are devoted to the health of our rivers, including the French Broad.

If you would like to receive our email newsletter, send an email to fromsourcetosink@gmail.com, and we will add you.  We hope to have a regular newsletter going out twice a month, starting in January.  We will update our blog soon, including French Broad facts, a list of our sponsors, pictures, and more!
